Cage cards
Create, download and print cage cards for local or national pigeon exhibitions with few clicks. Automatic best coefficients selection for every olympic category
Good to know before you start
- You can create a cage card for your own pigeons once your account is paired with your fancier record. Administrators can create cards for any pigeon. show guide for registration and account pairing
- Every card is created fresh when you ask for it, so it always shows the latest results. Nothing is stored, you can create the same card as many times as you need.
- The card is an A4 page in landscape orientation. It is designed to be readable from a distance and to use as little toner as possible.
What is printed on the card
The card shows everything the visitors and the judges need to know about the pigeon, with large letters that can be read from in front of the cages.
- Top line - The exhibition category on the left, the name, date and place of the exhibition on the right.
- Pigeon - Picture, ring number, sex, fancier, club and city. For national exhibitions the organisation is shown instead of the club.
- Picture - The card shows the photo of the pigeon when one is uploaded in its profile. A pigeon without a photo gets the picture of the exhibition, and when the exhibition has no picture either, a pigeon illustration. The photo is cut to the frame on the card from its centre, so choose a photo with the pigeon in the middle.
- QR code - When the pigeon profile is public, the card carries a QR code. Visitors can scan it with their phone and open the pigeon profile with all its results. Private pigeons get no QR code.
- Fields to fill in by hand - Empty boxes for the cage number and the prize or points awarded at the exhibition, and room for the signature of the committee member who checked the data.
- Summary - Total distance, number of races and the result of the pigeon in the category, for example the total coefficient.
- Races - One row per race: date, liberation point, distance, number of fanciers and pigeons, prize, percentage, results list and the coefficient of the race.
A pigeon with many races gets more pages. The first page always carries the full header, the next pages repeat the ring number, fancier and category so the pages cannot be mixed up.
Creating a card in the pigeon profile
The pigeon profile lets you create a card for any category and season, and fill in the exhibition details yourself.
Open the pigeon profile
Click the ring number of your pigeon in the results, in the competitions or in My Pigeons. You can open the profile when you see a yellow star next to the ring number. Administrators can find any pigeon by its ring number in the admin area.
Open the cage cards window
Click the printer button in the upper right corner of the pigeon details. When you move the mouse over it, it says Cage Cards.
Choose the organisation, season and category
The organisation and season decide which competition results are used. In Exhibition Category pick the category the pigeon is shown in. Categories that are not calculated in the chosen organisation cannot be selected.
Rename the category if you need to
The category name is filled in for you. You can change it, for example to "Race winner" or "Club champion", and the card will show your text.
Fill in the exhibition
If an organisation near you has saved its upcoming exhibition, choose it in Available exhibitions and the name, place and date are filled in. You can also type them yourself.
Create the card
Click Create cage card. After a few seconds the PDF is saved to your computer. Check the data, print it and you are ready to go.
Life performance
Next to the performance competitions you find Life performance. It lists all official prizes of the pigeon from all seasons, not only the races of one competition, and the season does not matter for it. It is a good choice for special categories like "Race winner" or "Club champion" - pick it and rename the category.
Competition criteria
Every competition has its rules, for example a minimum number of races or a minimum total distance. The option Only if the pigeon meets the competition criteria decides what happens when the pigeon does not meet them yet.
Option checked (default)
The card is created only for a pigeon that meets all the criteria. Otherwise you see a message telling you what is missing, for example "Races 8 / 10".
Option unchecked
The card is created anyway, with the best races the pigeon has so far, just like the standings during the season. The missing criteria are printed on the card in red, so the judges can see them straight away.
A pigeon does not need to be in the competition standings to get a card. If it belongs to the organisation and fits the category (age and sex), the card is built from its races.
One click from the competition results
When the organisation of a competition has saved an upcoming exhibition, the competition standings show a PDF button next to every pigeon. One click downloads the card of that pigeon, already filled in with the exhibition of the organisation.
- The button appears for categories that have cage cards (performance, ace pigeons, FCI categories and standard) and stays until five days after the exhibition started.
- Cards from the standings are always created, also during the season. Missing competition criteria are printed on the card.
- Need a different exhibition or category name? Use the pigeon profile instead.
Exhibition of your organisation
Administrators of an organisation can save the upcoming exhibition: name, date, place and a picture. Fanciers can then pick it when creating cards, the one-click button appears in the competition standings, and the picture is printed on the cards of pigeons that have no photo of their own.
