Creating new Type of results

Creating a type of results is very easy and can be made in 2 steps - filling out a new type form and defining results composition. However the list of available settings is quite long and can become overwhelming for new administrators. With each new country that uses MyPigeons and wants to implement their specific rules, this list can grow in the future.

In this guide we explain each available setting, we show how it affects results calculation, so you have perfect understanding how you can use it in your district.

To access Types of results administration, you need to be logged in to your account and your account must have "District administrator" access level for the district where you want to change settings. Please ask you country administrator to grant you this access if you need it.

Once you are set as District administrator, you will see administration panel under race plan of your district.

Order, name and description

These are basic fields for showing created types or existing calculated results for fanciers.

• Order is not shown but based on it, list of existing types is ordered, so users get same type of results always in the same place in a table and it is easy for them to find it.
• Name is displayed as a first item in list of existing results. Mostly it tells about results composition. Some examples:
  • Baghdad Championship => results for all fanciers from Baghdad district with point championship
  • Budapest FCI => results of all fanciers from Budapest District with FCI conditions and coefficients
  • Zone E => this could be some defined zone or group of clubs within a district
  In general, name should tell fanciers, what should they expect when they click the name to see results.
• Description is displayed in brackets next to the name. It usually informs about specifics of calculated results like that they are FCI results, or it is some special type of championship. Sometimes it is used to show which Clubs are included etc.

Shortcut for cage cards

On printed cage cards, there is only a little space to show what results were used to display pigeon performance record in a table. You should come up with some agreement in your country how to mark types with shortcuts so you can easily distinguish what kind of results they represent.

Example from Slovakia, season 2016:

• NP = National results
• REG = regional results (groups of districts, usually >200 fanciers)
• OZ = district results (usually 5-10 clubs), >100 fanciers
• VS = group of clubs (usually 3-4 clubs within a District)
• SP = sub-group of clubs (usually 2 clubs within 1 group of clubs)
• ZO = club results

If your contry recognizes young birds season, you need to create 1 set of types also for youn birds races. These types will be available only in young birds races.

Once you create a Type of results, it is not possible to change this setting. If you made a mistake, please delete it and create a new one.

مشخصات نتایج

There are 3 types of results specification:

• نتایج رسمی FCI: results are calculated according to FCI restrictions. Some settings for type are disabled for this specification (rounding, prize percentage, pigeon listing options). FCI results are calculated only when there is at least 20 participating fanciers and 150 pigeons. If these criteria are not met, results will not be calculated
• نتایج سفارشی: most flexible specification. It will allow you to change all results parameters. Results calculated based on Custom types are not used for FCI olympic categories calculation, even when FCI coefficients are turned on. They are mostly used for calculation of all sorts of championships or in countries that are not members of FCI.
• نتایج آزمایشی: same as Custom types. Results are marked as experimental to show fanciers that they are not official for championship calculation. This specification is used mostly when you want to try some new calculation method, see how it goes for 1 season then decide if you want to use it or not.

ترکیب نتایج

There are 3 types of results composition:

• سازمان‌ها: this setting is best in case, when you want to create whole district results (all members). In future, when new members arrive or new clubs are created in your district, you will not need to change composition selection, as all such changes will be reflected automatically. It's also good choice in case you are creating combined results (regional or national) as it will give less work selecting whole districts than clubs. Even in situation when you want to exclude few members of your district from results, this option is a good choice (there is special feature for Excluded fanciers from types)
• باشگاه‌ها: you will use this setting while creating results for group of clubs within your district. For example when you have 5 clubs in your District and 2 of them want to have results together, this setting will allow you to select particular clubs instead of whole district.
• پرورش‌دهندگان: this is special setting for cases when you need exact selection of fanciers for your results. They are members of your district but they are in different clubs and at the same time, not all of their club mates can be in these results. Good example is creating results based on distance from selected liberation points (something like distance zones). Even fancier selection in this case is specially customized for such situation. Please do not use this setting when you want to exclude somebody from results. Rather use Excluded fanciers feature.

check this checkbox in case there are more clubs in your district results or more districts in combined results. When checked, results will be calculated along with simple statistics table for each club / district showing basic data like number of fanciers, number of basketed pigeons, number of acquired prizes, percentual succes-rate (percentage of their own pigeons with prizes), % of Birds with Prizes (how big part of prizes they took from the whole results = basic indicator how well club / district was doing in race against the others)
